Selecting the perfect engagement ring is one of the most important decisions of your life. Because an engagement ring is the ultimate symbol of a couple’s relationship, and nothing is more symbolic than three stone engagement rings that represent the different stages of that relationship.

However, if your lady has her heart set on a heart-shaped ring then you may not want to choose this type of ring because heart-shaped stones do not typically look good set closely together.

The other great thing about three stone engagement rings is that you have quite a bit of versatility as to what type of stone you want to use. Obviously, diamonds are very common in wedding bands, but with three stone rings, you are not limited to that. If your special lady likes color, you could possibly choose to have two of the stones surrounding the center stone be a colored gemstone like a sapphire or a ruby. Or if your lady really wants something unique why not give her a three stone ring that does not have a diamond at all? Perhaps choose a three stone emerald cut emerald rings or a round cut sapphire ring.
